We are a not for profit and there are many ways to volunteer and support your community while living in Peru.
Pictured here are Ambassador Michael and Mrs. Fatima McKinley with Peruvian super star Susanaa Baca and her father. Shown in the upper rigt corner are Dionna, Quan, Renita, Tunisia and Donna who recently had a lunch to raise funds for a community member who needed emergency medical treatment. One of the most common misconceptions of volunteerism is that you have to join an organization or be in a special group. Anyone can create a fund raiser to donate to a cause that you feel passionate about. Here in Lima we have mission families interested in recycling, urban planning, art, english as a second language, orphans and many many other causes that could use a helping hand.
1).How do I contact USEA?...send us an email at useaperu.master@gmail.com
2). Can I join the board of directors?...yes elections are in May
3). How do I volunteer?....talk to the CLO or send us an email
4). What if my spanish is not strong enough?....the embassy offers Spanish classes and there are plenty of opportunities to help while working with people who speak multiple languages.
The Board invites you to join us, and to contact us, if you are interested in sponsoring or volunteering. Please email us at useaperu.master@gmail.com.
