Lilo Milan Williamson- Honorary President- I was born in Lebanon where I studied accounting. I left Lebanon in 1988 during the country's civil war and migrated to Brazil. There I worked at the Lebanese Consulate in Sao Paulo. In Sao Paulo I met my husband, Bruce. I moved with him to El Salvador where we stayed for three years. Thereafter, I went to Washington, D.C. where I worked at Inter-American Development Bank for four years. Then we moved to Brazil where I worked at the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia for three years. After that, we went to Monterrey, Mexico for three years. In Monterrey, as the Consul General's wife, I worked with an charity that helps the blind. I speak five languages (Arabic Lebanese, French, Portuguese, Spanish, & English). I have one daughter who is nine years old.

AnnAnne Morrison- President- Grew up in Ohio, went to college at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, then worked for 9 years in information systems for governments and telecoms in the U.S., Switzerland, and Israel. Afterward, she worked in historic preservation/urban planning for a local government while working on a masters in urban and regional planning from Virginia Tech (their Architecture/Planning school in Alexandria, VA). After moving to Dhaka, Anne worked with a group of architects in their campaign to save the city's historic neighborhoods. Anne is currently serving as an officer in the Political Section of the American Embassy in Peru. Anne was NDA Liaison on USEA's Board 2009.

 

Aurora Salazar -Vice President Aurora's professional career has offered her the opportunity to work for international/national governments and private organizations in Arequipa, Tacna, Lima and in the UK. In May 2008 she joined the United States Embassy in Lima to work for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Aurora is fluent in Spanish and English. She also speaks basic Quechua. Aurora's interest in social work started in her hometown, Arequipa by teaching English to impoverished children within the Catholic community. In 2007 she collaborated in the organization of an international conference for English language teachers and trainers within Peru. Since 2009 Aurora has been doing Spanish translations for a worldwide educational internet site aimed at young learners. Aurora's interests include folk dancing, knitting, sewing, crafting and cooking Arequipenian and Peruvian food. She is married with two teenage children. In 2009 Aurora was USEA's Vice-President and volunteered at the Special Needs Christmas party for the first time.

Mohammad Alnajadah, Noche De Arte Liaison- Holds a B.A. in computer science and Minor in English literature and translation from Kuwait University. Also, a Novelist, web designer, I.T. consultant and a personal trainer.

 

 

Mónica Pfeiffer- Welfare Chair- Monica is an Audiovisual Communicator with experience in TV production (journalistic programs, magazines, entertainment shows, cultural events and an international talk show). She is currently working at the Embassy of the United States in IPC (Information Program Center), in the Graphic Arts Section. She has great interest in Social Development with special motivation in matters related with childhood. She participated as a volunteer the last two years in the Special Needs Christmas Party organized by USEA. She likes music, arts, cinema, reading and trekking; she feels great passion for nature; and practices Reiki. Favorite Quote: “Attitude is a little thing that make a Big difference” (W. Churchill).

 

Elmira Beyshenova-Boyle, Welfare Co-Chair- Elmira is originally from Kyrgyzstan and her professional background includes more than seven years of consular work with the U.S. Embassies in Dhaka, Windhoek, Kiev and Bishkek; two years with the Constitutional Court of Kyrgyzstan; and free-lance work during her undergraduate studies for the Asian Development Bank office and other international organizations in Kyrgyzstan; currently she is working in the Narcotics Affairs Section in the American Embassy, Peru. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Law from the National University in Kyrgyzstan. Currently Elmira is pursuing her graduate studies in public administration through the Indiana State University's distance program. Her goal is to help those in need and to work for non-government organizations in the future.

Alicia R. Castaneda, Secretary - has been with the American Embassy since 1994, she is a Psychologist with a Masters in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Aliciai studied Administration and Establishment of Non Profit Organizations, and currently works in the Consular Section. She has been President of the Embassy Games twice 2002-2004 when GSO staff was in charge of planning and organizing the event. In the development of her regular duties have been several times awarded because of her logistics skills and been always one step ahead solving problems. Had been part of the Embassy Personnel Christmas Party Committee. Had participated as a mentor in a PAS Special Project. She has volunteered at Noche de Arte since 2008. Since 2009 until now is the person in charge of dealing with all the sponsors of the Children Special Needs Christmas Party organized by USEA. Her biggest treasure: Her daughter Alexandra and her son Rodrigo. Hobbies: Go to the gym, dance, reading, traveling, make and work in an environment that is fun, energizing, and where she can make a difference…….. Keep on learning and growing.

Patricia Olivos Perrys, Public Relations Professional- Social Communicator; Image Advisor, Leadership and Coaching. Holds a Diploma in Marketing and Business from CENTRUM, Catholic University of Peru, Business School; Sales Management from ESAN University. Patricia is a professional speaker, former TV news narrator and TV programs chief; Personal Marketing professor at different universities. Executive Corporate Officer at Telefonica Group for over 10 years. I am a mother and I understand children’s great need to have a life full of love and continuous learning that will enable them to be owners of a successful future. I think that art represents a country and expresses its culture. I find it outstanding that USEA through `Noche de Arte` allows us to fulfill a double task: help less fortunate children and at the same time promote our plastic artists.
